Christmas in Westminster

Updated: Jan 1, 2020

Our Christmas Season starts Thanksgiving Day....watching the Parade in our Rockettes shirts from a performance we went to years ago. (Grandma sporting really bad bedhead this year...) ( #Joaniedorkfest)

Westminster's Electric Light Parade

The City brought the Christmas lights to us and Santa and Mrs. Claus to help light the City Tree.

Grandad made Santa's "Good Sport" list by rocking the dorky reindeer hat Grandma got him to wear!

Westminster has had its own Municipal Band since 1893! They start off all City Parades and many other City events...all volunteers that always bring a smile and instill such fondness for our little Westminster!

Blake was enjoying the hot chocolate...( Grandma always bring hot cocoa and candy canes)

I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.....

I dressed up my Baby Edward for Christmas as a surprise for Rusty...it took a week and a nudge for him to notice!🤣

Sugar for Santa Campaign

A lot of love (and sprinkles) were poured out by the Grands to make White Sugar Cookies for Santa!

O (Fake) Christmas Tree

Allergy issues drove us to have a fake tree( first time ever) ...it turned out pretty...we love it. We received a beautiful ornament , lovingly crafted by our talented niece, Trish, ...Dean put on the old Santa ornament from my childhood tree, we received a great "girlie" ornament from the the girls' European Adventure, and Jimmy's tinseled construction paper xmas tree ornament was on our tree and not decorating a hospital bed...so our new fake tree had real Christmas magic!

Miracle of the Gettysburg Outlets

Jimmy mentioned to Janelle and me that he wanted to rock the "Ugly Christmas Sweater" but he didn't see one in his size....careful what you wish for...late night before Christmas Eve challenge for Janelle and me..."Ugly Christmas Sweater for Jims" ! So fun! (# JanELF)

Jimmy was a total good sport and rocked his Christmas Shirt with Pride ( and Joy! )

Janelle and I made my Mom's moist chocolate cake Christmas morning. It was an EPIC FAIL due to misreading recipe...but icing was delicious, people were kind not to spit it out and the kids had a blast decorating. My mom would have LOVED all of it!

Christmas Eve and Christmas

Merry and bright! Family, board games, annual puzzle...good exhaustion!

My Christmas Grands...

That's a Christmas Wrap!

Wishing you all a Healthy and Happy New Year!
